1960 – The Beatles begin what would become a three-month engagement at the Indra Club in Hamburg, Germany. It’s their first appearance away from England.

1966 – The Hollies record “Stop, Stop, Stop”.

1969 – The final full day at Woodstock includes sets from Joe Cocker, Country Joe & The Fish, The Band, Blood Sweat & Tears, and the stage debut of Crosby Stills Nash & Young. Jimi Hendrix wraps up the historic music festival with a performance early Monday morning.

1974 – Patrick Moraz replaces Rick Wakeman as the keyboardist for Yes.

1991 – “Luck Of The Draw” reaches #2 on Billboard’s album chart and yields Bonnie Raitt’s first Top Forty single, “Something To Talk About” (#5).
