1963 – Peter, Paul & Mary’s “Puff The Magic Dragon” is released.

1971 – Bob Dylan’s records “Watchin’ the River Flow” with Leon Russell playing piano, which is released as a single and is later included on “Bob Dylan’s Greatest Hits, Vol II.”

1971 – The 13th Annual Grammy Awards are announced and the big winners are Simon & Garfunkel whose “Bridge Over Troubled Water” wins Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Arrangement, Best-Engineered Record and Best Contemporary Song.

1999 – The Allman Brothers Band kick off their 30th anniversary tour with 18 nights at New York’s Beacon Theater.
