1970 – The Beatles’ album “Hey Jude” goes gold.

1975 – Led Zeppelin is awarded a gold record for “Physical Graffiti.”

1976 – Fleetwood Mac’s “Rhiannon” is released.

1976 – Britain’s EMI Records re-releases all 22 British Beatles’ singles and adds a bonus when it also puts out “Yesterday,” never before available as a 45 in the U.K. All 23 records hit the chart at the same time.

2000 – Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor, and The Lovin’ Spoonful are inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the 15th annual induction dinner.
