1963 – The Rolling Stones, with Ian Stewart on keyboards, make their first recordings. They record Chuck Berry’s “Come On” and Willie Dixon’s “I Want to be Loved” at Olympic Studios in South London.

1972 – The group America receive a gold record for the self-titled debut album.

1977 – Pink Floyd’s second album since 1973’s landmark “The Dark Side of the Moon,” “Animals” goes platinum. It hits Number Three.

1998 – Eric Clapton’s “Pilgrim” is issued worldwide.
