1968 – Judy Collins hits #8 with Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now.”

1969 – Joe Cocker makes his American debut on the “Ed Sullivan Show” before embarking on a tour.

1990 – David Bowie begins the American leg of his “Sound and Vision” world tour. He said the tour would mark the last time he’d perform his older hits like “Golden Years” and “Fame.”
