1966 – Bob Dylan, backed by the Hawks (better known as The Band), perform in Stockholm, Sweden. Six more weeks of dates follow across Europe in what will come to be regarded as one of rock’s most historic tours.

1970 – George Harrison says the Beatles will eventually reunite and announces plans for his first post-Beatles solo LP.

1976 – After playing in Memphis during a southern tour, Bruce Springsteen breaks into the grounds of Graceland in the hopes of meeting Elvis Presley. He is discovered and escorted off the premises without meeting The King.

1980 – Bob Seger’s “Against the Wind” turns gold. The album spawns four Top Forty singles.
