1965 – Bob Dylan films one of the earliest music videos, the famous “flashcard” clip for “Subterranean Homesick Blues”.

1970 – The Beatles’ “Let It Be” album is released in England.

1976 – Bob Dylan and his entourage return to Houston, the city where the Benefit II for Rubin “Hurricane” Carter had been held just five months earlier. For the concert, Dylan requests Willie Nelson to join him and the two croon “Will the Circle Be Unbroken.”

1977 – Grateful Dead perform at Cornell University’s Barton Hall, in Ithaca, New York. Of the 2000+ concerts performed by the group in its lifetime, this one is ranked #1 by Deadheads.

1979 – Supertramp’s LP, “Breakfast In America,” turns platinum and eventually goes to Number One. The group has three Top 15 singles: “The Logical Song,” “Goodbye Stranger” and “Take The Long Way Home.”

2000 – The Elton John and Tim Rice musical for Disney, “Aida,” receives four Tony nominations, including one for best original score.
